Privacy Policy

Quoth stores an account, your chats, and a credit record so you can sign in and continue a conversation. This page describes that data. Questions and deletion requests go to [email protected].
Account
Sign-in is Google only. When you continue with Google, Quoth receives your name, email address, profile image, and Google account id, and stores them with your Quoth account. Quoth keeps what it needs to recognize that sign-in. There is no password.
Chats
Quoth keeps one conversation for each account and character. The messages you send and the replies you receive stay stored so the thread is there on the next visit. Signing out ends the session in this browser. To delete a chat or the account, email [email protected].
Credits and payments
The first sign-in creates a trial credit batch that expires after one month. A purchased batch expires one month after it is granted. If you buy a pack, Stripe collects the payment. Quoth does not store your card number. Quoth stores the pack, the price, the currency, the order status, and the time the payment is recorded. The credit record shows each grant and each charge. Stripe describes its own handling of payment data in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Cookies
A signed-in browser holds a session cookie so you stay signed in. Quoth may store when that session expires, the IP address, and the browser identifier. Quoth does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Replies
To write a reply, Quoth sends your message, the recent thread, and the character instructions to the service that generates the reply. That service processes the text to produce the reply.
Sharing
Quoth does not sell this data. A chat is visible to the account that sent it. Google handles sign-in. Stripe handles card payment. The reply service processes the text needed to answer.
Children
Quoth is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
The date at the top is the date of this text. If the text changes, that date changes. Continuing to use Quoth after the update means you accept the new text.
