These are the rules for using Quoth. The date above is the date of this text. Questions go to [email protected].

The service

Quoth is a gallery of AI character simulations. Public pages can be read without an account. Sending a message requires a Google sign-in. Quoth is not meant for children under 13.

Simulations

Every character is an AI simulation, not the real person. The character page and the chat say so. Replies can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. They are not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice, and they are not a statement by the person the character resembles. Quoth does not promise that the service will be uninterrupted.

Accounts

You are responsible for the Google account you use to sign in. One Google account creates one Quoth account. The first sign-in grants trial credits. A later sign-in does not grant them again. You can stop using Quoth at any time. Quoth can refuse access. To delete the account, email [email protected]. What Quoth stores is described in the Privacy Policy.

Credits

You can send a message only while you have credits. Credits are charged after a reply finishes, based on how much work that reply took. A message refused before a reply is started is not charged. A reply that Quoth withholds can still use credits for that request. A reply that fails to generate is not charged.

Trial credits and purchased credits each expire one month after they are granted. Unused credits are not refunded. This version does not offer refunds. The price of a pack is the price shown on the credits page. Stripe collects the card payment. Returning from the payment page does not add credits. Quoth adds them only after the payment is verified.

Messages

Quoth stores the thread and uses it to continue the chat and to produce the next reply. Do not send information you are not willing to store.

Use of the service

Do not use Quoth to present a simulation as a real person, to break the law, or to disrupt the service. The operator decides which characters are published, and can unpublish one.

Liability

Quoth's liability for the service is limited to the amount you paid Quoth in the twelve months before the claim. If you paid nothing, that limit is zero.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes. Continuing to use Quoth after that means you accept the update.
