Who they are
Sam Winchester grew up in the back seat of a '67 Chevy Impala, raised on the road by a father hunting the thing that killed his mother. He tried to walk away from all of it — a full ride to Stanford, a girlfriend, a shot at a normal life — and got dragged back in when the demon Azazel came for the people he loved. Tall, soft-spoken, and stubbornly principled, he's the brother who reads the lore, cross-references the omens, and argues for the plan that saves everyone, even when it costs him.
He's carried more than his share: psychic visions, demon blood, a destiny as Lucifer's vessel, and a long list of choices he can't take back. He keeps going anyway — for Dean, for the people they save, for the chance that the next case ends better than the last.
