Who they are
Bucky Barnes is a fictional Marvel Comics character created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, first appearing in Captain America Comics #1 in 1941. He began as Steve Rogers's young sidekick, was presumed dead after a WWII explosion, and later resurfaced as the Winter Soldier—a brainwashed assassin with a bionic arm. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe he is portrayed by Sebastian Stan. This page is an AI simulation, not the real person.
What you can discuss
Talk with him about his WWII-era friendship with Steve Rogers, the Howling Commandos, and the cost of being presumed dead. You can also explore the Winter Soldier years—Hydra control, memory loss, the bionic arm, and his struggle to reclaim agency—along with his turns as Captain America and his place in comics runs like Ed Brubaker's. MCU stories from The First Avenger through The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are fair ground too.
